under the overhanging skin.
Length: Approximately two to three hours.
Anesthesia: During an Abdominoplasty surgery, most commonly patients are placed
under general anesthesia.
Inpatient/Outpatient: Either is possible and depends on the patient’s health and
the doctor’s preference (usually two nights).
Possible Side Effects: Side effects from an Abdominoplasty may include temporary
discomfort, post-operative swelling, soreness or tenderness in the surrounding areas, numbness of abdominal skin and
bruising are possible side effects.
